Community Guidelines
Effective date: July 6, 2026
GutPattern only works if it stays honest and kind. These guidelines keep it that way, and they’re part of our Terms & Conditions.
Be honest
- Share your real experience — what actually happened, including the treatments that didn’t help or made things worse. The honest picture is the whole point.
- Don’t invent, exaggerate, or edit outcomes to push a point of view.
Be kind and respectful
- People here are often unwell and frustrated. Assume good faith and be supportive.
- No harassment, hate, or personal attacks.
Not medical advice
- Share what worked for you — don’t present it as medical fact or tell others what they “should” do. Everyone’s body is different, and care decisions belong with a clinician. See our Medical Disclaimer.
Protect privacy
- Share only what’s yours to share. Don’t post other people’s identifiable or private information.
Keep it genuine
- No spam, no undisclosed promotion, and no selling. If you have a commercial or professional interest, be transparent about it.
Moderation, reporting, and appeals
- We may edit for clarity (never to change your reported outcome), or remove content that breaks these guidelines. Serious or repeated violations can lead to account removal.
- To report content that breaks these rules, or to appeal a removal you think was a mistake, reach us through the Contact page.
Thanks for helping make GutPattern a place people can actually trust.
